Covers Only is a free, skill-based, fantasy-style pick'em platform. It is not gambling.
Covers Only does not accept entry fees, wagers, or payments of any kind to participate in a league. Covers Only does not award cash, cash equivalents, or prizes of monetary value. No money changes hands on this platform, at any point, for any reason. Leagues, standings, and pick records exist solely for entertainment, bragging rights, and friendly competition among invited members or public participants.
Because no entry fee is charged and no prize of value is awarded, Covers Only does not meet the legal definition of gambling in any U.S. jurisdiction, which generally requires (1) consideration paid to enter, (2) a prize of value, and (3) an outcome determined predominantly by chance. Covers Only is missing the first two elements entirely.
Balance Leagues. Some leagues use a virtual weekly budget that members "wager" on picks, with standings based on virtual winnings. This budget is provided to every member automatically and free of charge, cannot be purchased with real money under any circumstances, and virtual winnings can never be redeemed, exchanged, or cashed out for real money, gift cards, merchandise, or any other item of value. Balance League budgets and winnings exist solely as a scoring mechanism for entertainment purposes and have no value outside the Platform.
Odds, spreads, and lines displayed on Covers Only are sourced from third-party sportsbook data providers for reference and grading purposes only. Covers Only is not a sportsbook, does not accept bets, and does not facilitate wagering between users. If you are looking to place real-money wagers, Covers Only is not the platform for that, and you should use a licensed, regulated sportsbook in your jurisdiction instead.
By creating an account or otherwise using Covers Only ("the Platform," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.
Covers Only is a free, skill-based, fantasy-style sports platform. See the Skill-Based Disclaimer above, which is incorporated into these Terms in full. Users will not be charged to join a league, and Covers Only will never distribute cash or cash-equivalent prizes. Covers Only does not authorize, sanction, sponsor, or facilitate real-money wagering, side betting, or pools based on its leagues, standings, or data, and does not provide any tools, payment features, or infrastructure for that purpose.
Some leagues use a "Balance League" format in which members receive a virtual weekly budget to allocate across picks, with standings determined by virtual winnings. The following apply to all Balance League activity:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
Users who create a league ("Commissioners") are responsible for setting league rules within the bounds these Terms allow (sports, bet types, picks per week, dates, member limits) and for managing their league's membership. Covers Only may remove a Commissioner or dissolve a league that violates these Terms.

Odds, lines, and scores displayed on the Platform are provided by third-party data sources (currently The Odds API and Ball Don't Lie) and are provided "as is." Covers Only does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data and is not liable for grading disputes arising from third-party data errors. Commissioners retain the ability to manually correct grading in their leagues.
Covers Only may display third-party advertisements on the Platform. Advertisements are provided by third-party ad networks and are not endorsements by Covers Only of any advertised product or service. Covers Only is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or claims made in third-party advertisements. See our Privacy Policy for information on how ad networks may use cookies or similar technology.
The Platform, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of Covers Only LLC and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Covers Only is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, including disputes between league members, inaccurate grading, or service interruptions.
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If you are located outside the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, Analytics and Advertising cookies are on by default, since those regions do not require opt-in consent for this kind of cookie use. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Covers Only uses Google Consent Mode to withhold Analytics and Advertising cookies by default and shows you a Google-provided consent message on your first visit, where you can choose Consent, Do Not Consent, or manage individual options; your choice is remembered and governs both Analytics and ad personalization together. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via that message or through Google Ads Settings. We retain account and league data for as long as your account is active. Archived leagues retain historical picks and standings. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting [email protected].
Covers Only is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact [email protected] to make a request.
We use industry-standard measures (password hashing, HTTPS, access controls) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
